OUR ANESTHESIOLOGISTS

Is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist. She has been working at Morris Anesthesia Group for the past 20 years and has served as both Chairperson and CEO of MAG for the last 10 years. She is a graduate of UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine and served there as chief intern.  Dr. Young completed her residency at New York University.  Today, Dr. Young oversees 65 Anesthesiologists who provide care at multiple hospital systems and Ambulatory Surgical Centers in the tri-state area. She sits on the Medical Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Society of Anesthesia, and she serves as a delegate to the American Society of Anesthesiology.  She sits on the Executive Committee of one of her hospitals. Dr. Young has been honored as one of New Jersey’s Top Doctors by New Jersey Magazine on multiple occasions, and she is frequently an invited speaker on the delivery of safe and efficient care.  She has performed medical missions to Honduras to provide Anesthesia to the most needy patients.  Recently, Dr. Young received accolades from Horizon Insurance Company for implementing one of the country’s first Anesthesia-Led Episodes of Care programs.  She is one of the largest developers of ongoing CME educational opportunities and workshops within a private practice.  Dr. Young has designed data-driven protocols and policies for the delivery of Anesthesia services at both hospitals and ambulatory centers. She has also adopted computer programs used daily by MAG’s entire staff, in which a dashboard of quality measures can be recorded and analyzed on a daily basis.  Under Dr. Young’s leadership, safety, quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction is the mantra of every MAG Anesthesiologist.

JILL YOUNG, D.O.

Is a graduate of UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He completed his internship at Penn State University School of Medicine Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and his residency in Anesthesiology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital-Tufts University School of Medicine.  He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  Dr. Nosker’s interests include outpatient and ambulatory Anesthesia, and Anesthesia practice management & development.  Dr. Nosker is a leader in website development and integrating technology to disseminate & receive information from our patients and our medical staff. 

GEOFFREY NOSKER, M.D.

Received his medical degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School.  He then did a transitional internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey and completed his Anesthesiology Residency at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Hospital.  He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and his clinical interests include pediatric Anesthesia, ambulatory Anesthesia, and ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques.

GEORGE OLECHOWSKI, M.D. 

Is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.  He was a surgeon in China and then trained in anesthesia at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He worked at UMDNJ as an assistant professor for years and has worked in private practice since 2004.  His anesthesia interests include general, regional, obstetrics, and ambulatory anesthesia.  

GUOGANG CHEN, M.D. 

Completed his Anesthesia and Internal Medicine training at SUNY Stony Brook. Dr. Pikus served as Chief Resident while at Stony Brook.  He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology.  Dr. Pikus assists the Vice Chairperson in daily operations, including scheduling of our physicians in multiple locations.  His clinical areas of interest are pediatric, regional, and ambulatory Anesthesia.  Dr. Pikus serves on the Operations Committee at a large New Jersey hospital.  

IGOR PIKUS, M.D.

Is the director of MAG’s regional anesthesia and acute pain management teams. Dr. Daras oversees MAG’s current practice as it relates to ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and ambulatory peripheral nerve catheters.  He has recruited a strong group of physicians for the Acute Pain Team, and he has implemented protocol-driven care resulting in high patient and surgeon satisfaction.  He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  Most recently, Dr. Daras was an invited speaker at Becker’s Panel on the effects of regional anesthesia in Chicago.

JASON DARAS, D.O.

Is director of Morris Anesthesia Group’s nurse anesthetists.  She is graduate of  the University of Delaware BSN program and attended the UMDNJ Nurse Anesthesia program.  Jodie has been practicing anesthesia since 2007. She has a special interest in multimodal analgesia and pediatric anesthesia. Jodie loves being able to give patients and their families comfort prior to their surgical procedures. 

JODIE BERRIAN, MSN, CRNA, APN-ANESTHESIA

He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  He trained at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City, where he stayed on as an attending for nine years. While there, he helped develop a very active regional-anesthesia program and implemented anesthesia techniques aimed at early discharge of ambulatory surgery patients.  He was director of Pre-Operative Services, and oversaw the design and construction of a new unit for pre-testing and ambulatory surgery admission, recovery, and discharge. Since joining private practice, Dr. Specthrie has continued to promote regional Anesthesia, including peripheral-nerve catheters in ambulatory patients.  He has served in various clinical leadership positions and is director of Morris Anesthesia Group’s quality measurement and regulatory compliance divisions.

LEON SPECTHRIE, M.D. 

Is a graduate of Cornell University and went on to receive her medical degree through the New York School of Osteopathic Medicine.  She then went on to complete her Anesthesiology training at the Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York.  She is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. She has been a practicing Anesthesiologist for 18 years, and the last 14 years have been with Morris Anesthesia Group.   She is a managing partner and Vice Chairperson of the group.  Her Vice Chairperson duties include daily scheduling and coordinating of pre-operative assessments and OR management, with both hospital and surgical staff.  She is also a leader of MAG’s Peer Review team.  Dr. Ho specializes in complicated general anesthetics as well as pediatric Anesthesia, regional Anesthesia, and office-based anesthesia.

MAGGIE HO, D.O. 

Has been with MAG since 1997.  She is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and serves MAG as a clinical director.  Dr. Panei has a special interest in pediatrics, ambulatory, regional, ophthalmologic and obstetric Anesthesia. She enjoys learning new techniques and therapies and implementing them in her practice to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.

MARIANNE PANEI, D.O. 

Received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Seton Hall University and went on to receive his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.  He completed his Anesthesiology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania / Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, and his clinical interests include major vascular and complex general Anesthesia.  Dr. Grasso also enjoys regional Anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, and ambulatory Anesthesia. 

MARIO GRASSO, M.D. 

Received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from New York Medical College and her M.D. from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.  She completed her Anesthesiology residency at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and she is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology.  Her clinical interests focus on the pharmacology of anesthetics, and Dr. Baker has been of great assistance to Morris Anesthesia Group during recent drug shortages.  

MICHELLE BAKER, M.D., PH.D. 

Received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Rutgers University. He obtained his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed his residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Dr. DeSimone’s professional interests include pediatric and regional Anesthesia, and Anesthesia for Plastic Surgery. Dr. DeSimone is also a leader in acute pain management of post-operative patients.  

ROBERT DESIMONE, M.D. 

Has been providing Anesthesia services for pediatric, orthopedic, ENT, gyn, GI and pain patients in both the hospital and ASC setting for over 20 years.  Dr. Shore is the Director of the Ambulatory Care Division of Morris Anesthesia Group and works closely with the administrators of ASCs to help formulate policies and procedures that comply with federal and state standards of care.  He also serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at a large hospital.  His primary focus has always been to provide General and Regional Anesthesia along with IV Sedation with an emphasis on patient safety, comfort and satisfaction.  Dr. Shore is also a specialist in management of difficult airways and often serves as a consultant to other Anesthesiologists in complex hospital surgical cases.  

RONALD SHORE, D.O.

Has served as a past chairman of Morris Anesthesia Group.  He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and continues to be a clinical leader and director with MAG.  Dr. Garibaldi is head of MAG’s human resources department and is actively involved in physician recruitment.  His special interest are in pediatric Anesthesia and Anesthesia for ambulatory surgery.

TOM GARIBALDI, M.D. 

Is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology.  She completed her residency at the Harper Hospital and Detroit Receiving Hospital at Wayne State University.  She has worked as a researcher in nuclear cardiology at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School.  Dr. Zabrodina’s clinical interests include critical care and ambulatory anesthesia, as well as anesthesia practice management.  She is currently serving as an Anesthesia Director at a MAG facility.

YANINA ZABRODINA, M.D.

Is the proud father of three, a devoted husband, and a Returned Peace Corps volunteer (Gabon, W. Africa).  Dr. Blanchfield’s medical interests include cardiothoracic anesthesia, pediatrics, and regional.  A former Resident of the Year at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Dr. Blanchfield was recently named Physician of the Year at a large hospital in New Jersey.  Dr. Blanchfield currently practices as the Chief of Anesthesia at that hospital.

PATRICK BLANCHFIELD, M.D. 
CHERRY LEE

Ms. Cherry Lee is a graduate of Centenary College, where she was a business administration major.  She has worked at Morris Anesthesia Group since 2007.  Ms. Lee has worn many hats while working at MAG.  At present, Ms. Lee serves as MAG’s Practice Administrator.  She has a strong work ethic, and she brings a smile to everyone’s face with whom she comes into contact.  Ms. Lee is a strong leader and an integral part of MAG.
